SPLINTERED: Soundboard
Splintered Soundboard is a deeply textured, decayed piano crafted from a broken upright. With raw, haunting tones and evolving sound design layers, it’s perfect for scoring and experimental music. Embrace imperfection and create something beautifully fractured.
What happens when you strip a piano down to its core, remove the hammers and keys, and push its soundboard to its absolute limits? SPLINTERED: Soundboard is the answer—an experimental sound design instrument built from the resonant remains of a well-worn piano, transformed into a tool for horror, thriller, and atmospheric scoring.
Every strike, scrape, and resonance has been meticulously captured, processed, and presented in an intuitive Kontakt instrument, giving you full control over deep percussive hits, unsettling textures, and extreme cinematic effects.
BOARD - A fusion of percussive and tonal resonance, featuring recordings of the piano’s strings struck and plucked with a variety of materials
FX -Cinematic impacts, risers, and high-intensity horror elements
SCAPES -Evolving textures and abstract sound design layers built from processed recordings
