At the heart of RISE & FALL are three core sound sources.
String Riser
A natural ascending performance designed to build energy, anticipation, and forward motion.
Tremolo String Riser
A more unstable and anxious variation, introducing movement, texture, and urgency into the transition.
String Downer
A descending gesture that creates resolution, collapse, dread, or aftermath depending on context.
Each source can be blended independently, allowing subtle combinations that move beyond traditional risers and impacts.
Hold a note. Shape the movement.
Designed for scoring
Transitions are often the invisible glue that holds a piece together.
RISE & FALL was created to provide immediate access to those moments without requiring complex programming or extensive editing. Whether you’re building tension before an impact, creating movement between scenes, or adding subtle unease beneath a cue, the instrument responds instantly and musically.
From restrained cinematic swells to aggressive trailer-style rises, every gesture retains the organic character of the original performances.
Built for transformation
A dedicated effects section allows every transition to be pushed further.
Chorus introduces width and movement. Tape adds analogue colour and saturation. Delay extends the gesture through space and repetition. The filter section provides tonal shaping and resonance control, while the processing stage introduces compression, grit, and additional character.
A custom convolution reverb featuring 17 impulse responses places the instrument anywhere from intimate spaces to vast cinematic environments.
The result is a simple instrument capable of surprising depth.
